Media Advisory: FAO to release report on the cost of climate change impacts on Ontario’s public linear storm and wastewater infrastructure

FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON THE COST OF CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS ON ONTARIO’S PUBLIC LINEAR STORM AND WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE

TORONTO, December 12, 2022 – On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that examines the impacts of more extreme rainfall on the long-term costs of maintaining public linear storm and wastewater infrastructure in a state of good repair.

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Ontario Legislature. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions.

Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for media questions immediately following the background briefing.
