Media Advisory: FAO to release an update on Ontario’s spending in 2020-21

FAO TO RELEASE AN UPDATE ON ONTARIO’S SPENDING IN 2020-21

TORONTO, December 7, 2020 – On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will publish a report providing an update on the Province’s 2020-21 spending plan and actual spending by the Province over the first six months of the fiscal year.

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. via web conference following the release of the report. Please contact Jessica Martin at 647.527.2385 or JMartin@fao-on.org for log-in and password information.

At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.

Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions immediately following the background briefing at 10:30 a.m.
