Media Advisory: FAO to release update on Ontario’s spending over the first six months of the 2021-22 fiscal year

FAO TO RELEASE UPDATE ON ONTARIO’S SPENDING OVER THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF THE 2021-22 FISCAL YEAR 

TORONTO, November 28, 2021 – On Monday, November 29, 2021, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that provides an update on the Province’s 2021-22 spending plan and reviews unaudited spending by the government over the first six months of the 2021-22 fiscal year (April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021).  

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams web conference following the release of the report. Please contact Anna Giannini at 647 527 2385 or AGiannini@fao-on.org for log-in and password information.  

At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.  

Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions immediately following the background briefing at 10:15 a.m.
