FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON ONTARIO’S BORROWING AUTHORITY
TORONTO, August 19, 2020 – On Thursday, August 20, 2020, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release its report on Ontario’s borrowing authority.
This report will provide an overview of the Government of Ontario’s borrowing authority, including the process of how borrowing occurs and the reporting responsibilities of the government with respect to its borrowing.
The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.
The FAO will provide a media briefing upon request. Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions following the release of the report.
