FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON MUNICIPAL FINANCES IN ONTARIO AMID THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
TORONTO, December 9, 2020 – On Thursday, December 9, 2020, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report on municipal budgets and the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Ontario municipalities.
The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.
The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. via web conference following the release of the report. Please contact Jessica Martin at 647.527.2385 or JMartin@fao-on.org for log-in and password information.
At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.
Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions immediately following the background briefing.
