TORONTO, April 9, 2026 – On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that provides an overview and analysis of the 2026 Ontario Budget, including the outlook for the economy, budget balance, debt burden, revenues and spending.
The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org at 8:00 a.m.
The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer technical questions.
Following the briefing, Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Jeffrey Novak, will be available to respond to media questions.
