Media Advisory: FAO to Release Interactive Expenditure Estimates Webpage and Four Reports on Ministry Spending Plans

FAO TO RELEASE INTERACTIVE EXPENDITURE ESTIMATES WEBPAGE AND FOUR REPORTS ON MINISTRY SPENDING PLANS

TORONTO, October 22, 2025 – On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release an interactive webpage that examines Ontario’s 2025-26 Expenditure Estimates and four reports that review 2025 Ontario Budget ministry spending plans. The webpage and reports will review the following ministries: Children, Community and Social Services; Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security; Education; Health; and Long-Term Care.

The webpage and reports will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org at 8:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 11:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer technical questions.

Following the briefing, Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Jeffrey Novak, will be available to respond to media questions.
