Media Advisory: FAO to Release Report Examining Forecast Accuracy for 2024-25 Fiscal Year

TORONTO, February 17, 2026 – On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that examines the FAO’s projections for the 2024-25 fiscal year for Ontario’s budget balance, revenue and spending compared to the actual results published in the Public Accounts of Ontario. The report will also review the FAO’s historical forecast accuracy since 2016-17.

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org at 8:00 a.m.
