FAO TO RELEASE UPDATE ON COVID-19 RESPONSE MEASURES IN ONTARIO
TORONTO, October 5, 2021 – On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that provides an updated summary of the measures implemented in Ontario by the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The report also provides information on the sources of funding for provincial measures and estimates the timing of provincial spending.
The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.
The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams web conference following the release of the report. Please contact Anna Giannini at 647.527.2385 or AGiannini@fao-on.org for log-in and password information.
At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.
Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for "on-the-record" media questions immediately following the background briefing at 10:15 a.m.
