FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON ONTARIO INSOLVENCIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
TORONTO, April 27, 2020 – On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO), at the request of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, will release a report that assesses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on insolvencies in Ontario.
The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.
The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams web conference following the release of the report. Please contact Anna Giannini at 647.527.2385 or AGiannini@fao-on.org for log-in and password information.
At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.
Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer, Peter Weltman, will be available for “on-the-record” media questions immediately following the background briefing at 10:30 a.m.
