Media Advisory: FAO to release report on Ontario’s spending through end of 2022-23 fiscal year

FAO TO RELEASE REPORT ON ONTARIO’S SPENDING THROUGH END OF 2022-23 FISCAL YEAR

TORONTO, August 1, 2023 – On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) will release a report that provides an update on the Province’s 2022-23 spending plan and reviews unaudited spending by the government through the end of the 2022-23 fiscal year (March 31, 2023).

The report will be posted on the FAO website www.fao-on.org/en/ at 9:00 a.m.

The FAO will provide a background briefing for accredited media at 10:00 a.m. in the media studio at the Ontario Legislature. At the media briefing, senior officials from the FAO will provide a brief presentation and answer questions.

Following the presentation, Ontario’s Acting Financial Accountability Officer, Jeffrey Novak, will make a statement and respond to media questions.
